Bagan has over 2000 pagodas that dot the plains of the city so it has plenty of history to explore and discover, and what better way to see them all at once than by hot air balloon. The balloon ride is a must do for any couple and is one of the most memorable experiences of your life not to mention romantic experiences, as you watch the sun sparkle on the red plains of Bagan with the glistening of the pagodas and champagne in your hand, no wonder it is the No.1 to get a ‘Yes’ answer to a marriage proposal.

Surrounded against a backdrop of beautiful mountains and the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers this is THE picture postcard for a romantic getaway. Night markets line the main street and the architecture of some the buildings are in the style of old French colonial and as you make your way through the maze of gorgeous little streets which you can happily get lost in hand-in-hand and discover hidden bakeries and restaurants. The highlight of your romantic adventure will be Kuang Si Waterfalls just around 45 mins outside of town. These waterfalls and the pools that are made by them are some of the most romantic sights you will ever see and you can even take a swim in them.

Back in the main town walk to the top of Mount Phousi where you will find sublime panoramic views of this magical city with the sunset dropping behind the mountains that surround the city and the rays beating off the mighty Mekong river.
